it is getting so close, my anxiety levels are thru the roof.  I wanted this for so long and am genuinely happy that it is almost here,  I just seem to be on the verge of being agitated all day!  Any body else feel that way too.

Deep breath.  It is normal to be nervous. My surgeon told me that he worries about his patients that say they aren't anxious. You are on the verge of a new life. Take the time to enjoy the journey. It is truly amazing.

You'd be a little nuts if you weren't anxious. You are not only going in for surgery, but a huge lifestyle change.

Being anxious is ok, but don't let anxiety stop you. I think you'll do just great.

I was freaking out at the end as well.  Seems to be a very normal reaction, no matter how long you've prepared nor how hard you've pushed.  Your life is TOTALLY changing along with your intestines! :-)

Take a deep breath.  Relax.  You're going to be fine!

See you on the Loser's Bench,

Christine

mine is the 15th- having my pre surg consult today and pre op tests at hospital Friday. I'm super excited and slightly nervous. My nerves are elevated because I have a ton of work to get completed before end of day Monday. Worried I will not get it all done. I was also worried that I have not lost enough weight since last month's appointment (only a couple pounds when I usually lose 8-9). Was scared he would change his mind but I will have probably lost 50 pounds or more before the surgery.

My anxiety was thru the roof, too.  That's why I think the  R - E - L - I - E - F  was so immense afterward, though.  Being freed from obesity has left me eternally grateful and having a desire to pay it forward without receiving financial benefit for doing so.

Oh my god yes. I thought I was going to come out of my skin. I watched garbage TV to take my mind off of it.

Best wishes to you on your surgery.
