NSV - Boots

I have been struggling to get in exercise. I have the time, but no desire. Yesterday I went for a walk outside with a relative. Today I have plans to meet her again at the park at 4:00 pm. I decided I have to take control and make sure I have my walk. I went to the mall this morning and walked 2.5 miles. Once the stores opened, I bought a belt (to hold up my pants) and I tried on about 4 pair of boots. They all fit. They did not have the elastic down the side, they were regular boots, I have never in my life been able to wear boots. I am a skater and I have large calves, but today I can. I didn't buy any, because I don't want to wear leggings. I wore stretchy stuff for too many years. But I told my husband, and he told me to go buy a pair for Sweetest Day. BTW, he is such a sweethart, I had roses on the table when I got home today. Loving life.

You listed a bunch of NSVs--taking control by walking, needing a belt for too loose pants, boots that zip, ditching stretchy material, getting surprise roses, having a sweetheart husband, and loving life. When first joining OH in 2012, I remember a Larry saying the key to exercise is finding something you love to do. Since then, Larry's advice has a twist---- the love for obtaining regularity in the bathroom is my primary motivation for exercise. May you never know.
