As I approach my fourth surgiversary... 53 miles at the Apple Cider Century bike ride in Michigan today! A personal record on the bike...

BTW that's the boyfriend who loved me fat and loved me thin... but definitely has more fun with me thin ;)

I am impressed... I have tried mountain biking but I don't do well with balance.... flat roads and crushed limestone for me!

Awesome picture. Great NSV. You two are cute together. I love that you wrote that he loved you fat and now as a thin person able to do more. Congratulations on your 53 miles

Thanks!  We actually met online four days after my surgery.  We were just friends, but at some point things got out of hand :)

When we met in person, I still weighed 280.  He didn't even blink an eye.  We went hiking and I wanted to die, but he was patient.  Nearly four years later, he is still patient... with a lot of things.  I may be the luckiest gal in the world....

Hi!  I've cycled that ride both as a ride participant and before using the maps that were located at the State Park. I did the 100 mile ride  but that was in my heyday.  I'm not sure I could ride 50 now. Congratulations.  The next step is PALM.  Pedal Across Lower Michigan.  You have to sign up quick.  It is a short mileage day, usually less than 50 per day for a week.  The other riders on the event make you go further than you thoght possible.  Good Luck!
