Return to work update & NSV's

I returned to work 2 weeks ago, after summer break (I’m a teacher) and a few closer co-workers gave me a big hug and said, “Hey you look great.”  One day in the hallway while I was putting up a new bulletin board, one teacher came up to me gave me strange look and said, “Are you getting smaller?” and continued to look at me up and down as if they were trying to figure out some great mystery. Kinda fun!

NSV’s

On the first day of school I always dress a little nicer to welcome my students and I wore a pair of tall boots, which I am happy to say zipped all the way up!  I had snapped my left calf muscle playing tennis years ago and it’s been a full inch bigger than my right calf. This has caused problems zipping up boots ever since I could usually get the right one zipped but never the left, so this was a great surprise!

Last year I pretty much wore yoga pants, some nice tanks or t-shirt with one of those wrappy sweater type things that helped to hide my mid-section or at least it feels like it does.  So I’ve been able to wear short sleeve cute shirts everyday and thank goodness because it is crazy hot here right now!

My Favorite NSV so far, I had been trying on my “skinny jeans” every so often to see how close I am to wearing them, two weeks ago they were a little tight and I figured by the time it was casual Friday at work they would be more comfortable.  So I wore them on Friday and they were falling off!  I could go to the bathroom and pull them down without unbuttoning or unzipping them.

I already feel so much better, so much freer and I’m not even at the half way point yet. Happy Happy

Thanks so much!  I am excited to keep on experience more positive changes.  The first two months felt so slow... and now in week 9 it feels like all my hard efforts are starting to pay off.

I love your comment about zipping up boots. That is definitely one thing I am so excited for this fall. I can't wait to go boot shopping and not have to look for the "extended calf" sizes.
