Hey. I had my iron infusion two days ago and ever since I had it, I've felt so tired and nauseated. During the mornings, I feel great but around 5 pm I start feeling sick again and feeling like I have to sleep. I've been sleeping about 2-3 hours in the evening. Anyone else feel like that after one? How long did it last? Will I ever not feel tired?

I typically feel ill for 2-4 days after. I learned to take it easy, and to try to eat easy to digest foods - and drink a lot of water, green tea, etc.

The body filters the unused  Unbounded iron ...and may dump that into the guy, plus the iron may be still circulating. ..my legs- and joints acheked for all 1-3 days,  then it got better.

I typically felt better app one week after infusion....only to have another one..(most of the time i got a serie of 4, - one a week..)

I've had two (18 months apart) and always felt like a new woman within a day or so.   I certainly did not have the same experience you are having.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm feeling MUCH better today! I haven't felt tired or sick any so I think I might be over the bump :)

I have been having infusions since way before my surgery.  What you felt was pretty normal..Its almost like the flu.  The other thing you might notice is horrible joint pain.  You just have to remember it is helping you.  Good luck
