tmi question

As you guys know my mom is on the clear liquid diet, she wants to know that did any of you get yellow diarrhea, being sleepy more, and stay cold more? I think she isn't drinking enough stuff with nutrients in it. Any suggestions?

I can comment on the cold thing...I have actually been freezing every since the liquid diet...and that was over 2 months ago. It got worse after the surgery and I was ALWAYS hot before. Tell your mom to get some nice warm blankets and sweaters and some warm fuzzy socks!

I'm having diarrhea also..  I'm 4 days out...color could be bc of what foods she is eating...chicken broth?  I hear the diarrhea will go away soon...

I haven't been cold...kind of back & forth..im constantly changing the heat & air .

Keeping socks on the feet or even a scarf on neck...sometimes that will keep the rest of the body warm...you can always use a heating pad too...

It is interesting that you bring up the cold! I also was cold after my surgery (when I always used to be hot). I am now 5 weeks out and I feel my 'normal' temperature coming back.

I had the same color/texture of her stool.  No need to be concerned.

I am 10 months out and am cold most of the time.  I wear like 5 layers of shirts to work and if it's really cold out I will wear tights under my corduroy pants with my knee length socks.

yes, normal.  Take naps, wear a sweater, my usual hot flashes subsided but for the most part my temp is mostly normal now.  Tell her to hang in there, it will get better.
