One week Post-op leg numbness

Good morning! 

I am one week post op and my left outer thigh is numb! i dont know what is going on, it was not like this for the first 3 days, then all of a sudden, numb.

Any one else have this??

I woke up from surgery with that.  They think it was because of the way my leg was positioned during surgery.  After months of numbness, I tried capsaicin cream and it was gone the next day.

9 months out and I still have it in my right leg.  My doc says a lot of workmen get it from wearing a tool belt.  So strange.. It comes and goes and it is so annoying.  In the beginning I couldn't sleep on my right side because of the numbness but I couldn't sleep on my left side because of the surgery... It as a pickle for sure.

I had that at the front bend of my left leg. I could not stand that feeling and it lasted months! Here's the thing...it went away finally! Good luck with everything

I would call your doctor. You've just been through surgery and your body is trying to repair itself, so it's upping the amount of coagulant in your blood. I was given a series of daily injections to take at home for my first 2 weeks post op to prevent blood clots, so please, call your doctor and get their opinion.
