Bone Density Scan

It will be one year ago in January I had my surgery so I wanted to know when should I get the Bone Scan? I will be 50 in March and never had one before to compare. I also read on here somewhere about a A calcium serum blood work that should be done, not sure if it's called that. Thanks

Then you should get one now.

I imagine you've had a calcium level done. Usually it's done as part of a CMP (comprehensive metabolic profile). It doesn't tell you much about whether or not you're getting enough calcium, though, because if you're not, you will just leach it out of your bones to keep the level in your blood good.
