I stay away from corn because I know it's often hard for us to eat post-op, but I haven't tried hominy. Any body have experience with it? I found a pork and hominy stew recipe that I'd like to try, but I don't want to get sick from it.

Honestly, after the 5 month mark I never stay away from anything. So I can eat corn corn and more corn. I think the husk may be an issue early on and I don't think the hominy is as tough. I would try it. But that's me!!

I eat hominy occasionally and have never had a problem. Don't eat it or corn real often because of the carbs but have had it.
