You certainly can eat them after surgery, but not right away. You need to see what your program says about these. My guess is it would be at least four weeks, maybe eight, before they are ok.

They probably aren't a great choice because I would think they'd be pretty  high in sodium and other not-so-healthy stuff.  But you should be able to eat them once you're on a regular diet if you want to.

It's fine for me to eat those things and I am four weeks out. I would seriously suggest you check the nuterional value of this things before eating them though. You may not want to after you see the amount of sodium, carbs and fat that is contained in them.

I did some of the deviled ham and chicken once I was cleared.  They were salty, but a nice change from the bland full liquids and had a decent amount of protein.  I'm not a tuna person, but you might take a look at the tuna packets as well.

After checking to see what stage diet you're in, they would be ok. As far as a "good choice" though, I think they are pretty horrific as far as nutrition, and just yucky ingredients lol!

puréed chicken, tuna, beef, etc. would be way better.

When you are cleared for them, deli meats work well in the early stages. Sliced very thin, they are generally very moist and easy to chew. I had ham and chicken frequently. A piece of rolled up deli meat can be an ideal snack.
