RNY and young children
Hi everyone. I am having RNY next Monday. I had a question for those with young children. How did your daily routine with your kids change post-surgery, as far as your healing? I have four children and wanted to hear any tips that would help in the transition.

I solicited lots of help for the first 3 weeks.after that, everything went back to normal for the most part.
Thank you ladies. I have a 6,4,2 & 9,mo old kiddos. The two older are in school, so it won't be to chaotic. I have dinners being delivered for the first two weeks, which is a huge blessing. My surgeon instructed me to do as much as I can, especially walking. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works 8-5 daily. I will be having my parents/inlaws dropping in through the first week to stay and help as needed. I am a very independent person, and have been working all this week to get the house organized and prepared. So excited to start my journey. I have been on my liquid diet since April 10. I am down from 336 to 312.

I have 2 children who are 2 and 3! The first 3 weeks, my mom was here to help and I let her help in away. My youngest was delayed in walking so she wasn't walking at the time and it helped for my mom to pick her up etc. After the first 2 weeks, I felt better and started participating a lot more but I still needed naps and I went to bed really early for the first 6 weeks. After that, no problems.
