Hello all age family. It's been quite a day. My laparoscopic bypass including repair of a hernia and dealing with adhesions .  All went well , I've ended up with 2 drains, 2 IV with abx , a foley and some seriously sharp gas pain, but life is gooooooooooddddd! . I am unbelievably grateful that I NW a member of the loser club and plan to make every single second count!

Today the rest of my life begins....

Welcome to 'the bench'. Glad to hear you're doing well enough to post - LOL. Remember to walk, sip, rest, and do this over and over again. Oh, and as for the gas pains, Gas-X thin strips help.

FABULOUS--and while I am sorry to read you had to get drains and such, your attitude is a great one.

WELCOME to the losers bench, we're sliding down to make room for you!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I am so happy for you! The gas pain is horrible. But, it will pass! Pardon the pun... Gas strips were my friend :) And walking. It helped the gas a lot.
