Tomorrow I am going to run my first 5k. Less than a year from surgery and not being able to walk a mile to running 3. It will probably be the slowest 5k in history, but it should be interesting.

Good luck!! Let us know your time!!

I am sooooo slow.

I was going to sign up to run one in March, but it has a 45 minute max!!  LOL -- I am afraid.

Not too bad. My IT band started killing me about halfway. I think I could have finished a couple of minutes faster, but for that. I'm going to need to take a few weeks off to rest my knee, but this won't be my last 5k. I had a lot of fun.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! what awesome news ... I remember my first 5K .my main and only focus was making it to the finish line and I did .. the 5ks turned to 10ks and then to 20ks and me joining a running club and running every other day ... not to worry you will do well .. I was among the last ones to make it past the finish line the first time but I was so happy I made it it felt as if I was one of the first. I am sooooooooooo happy for you.... hydrate well and rock your 5K .. you WILL do well ...
