105 lbs lost in 4 months !
Wow, thank is amazing. Can I ask which surgery you had and what exercises did you do to lose that much weight so fast. I just had the slimband installed on Nov 8, 2013 and I can't weigh myself yet, as my scale does not go that high. Terrible isn't it. At 17, I wieghed 115 lbs, at 52 I am now 282. What I would do just to get back to 130. I need some of your advice so I too can lose 100 lbs in a few months.
Please offer any advice.
Laurie
Please, please, please, do NOT let yourself get into a competition with anyone else about total weight loss; you must focus on your own journey, not someone else's.
Do what you need to do for your own health, cheer for others, but do what YOU need to do.
This mindset is what has led to feelings of failure and inadequacy all through our lives of morbid obesity; don't fall into that trap now.
Stay your own course and you'll be healthy and happy.
I am doing it for me and just doing what I have to do. You did awesome and not knowing you, I am still proud of you and happy that you were so successful. I just had my surgery in Toronto on November 8th, and I weighed myself today and I am down 17 pounds, but all day today I was starving. I did not overeat, but I was so tempted to try something. Glad you reached out to talk to me.
With me being hungry all day today probably didn't help when everyone around me was pigging out on butter chicken, nan bread, and fries. They also had fried chicken, fries, gravy, corn fritters, coleslaw on Friday. I just wanted to dump all of it on their heads, lol. I was eating my cup of tomato soup.
Try eating some more dense protein instead, or maybe adding some unflavored protein to your soup. I found that really helps to keep hunger at bay.
The first few weeks are indeed difficult if you feel hunger, so hang in there. The things you mentioned are just poison to you now.
Just think of the fun you're going to have when you need to go shopping for SMALLER clothes!!!! And you'll be able to strike "Lose Weight" from your New Years Eve Resolutions list!
