Bathroom Question

Ok, I am 6 days post op and have NOT had a bowel movement yet. I am passing plenty of gas but that is all. I have no discomfort or "pressure" like I need to "go".  I know there is nothing in my system except clear liquids, vitamins, and pain meds. 

How long did it take you to go #2? 

it took me almost a week before i went for the first time after surgery.  I still only go once or twice a week now.  so different that what i was used to.

Wow!  I was just logging on to ask the same question!! I am 1 week post op today & have not had a bowel movemet either!  I just want to Make sure this is normal!  Any answers would be appreciated by me as well!

I am 15 days post op and I took me about a week for a bowel movement I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm glad I asked :-). I think you asked a question a couple days ago that I was going to ask :-). How are you feeling?  

My NP told me to use milk of magnesia if I don't have a bm in two days. You will be surprised what's up your colon (hehe).

Lol!!!  I thin I will give my surgeon a call tomorrow and see if I need to take something.  Thanks for your input:-)
