TMI: Stool Softener that we dont have to drink????
I totally understand what you're saying about the Miralax. It's polypropelene glycol and it has a weird almost plasticky taste. And the burps after are the worst. I do it with exactly 8 oz of water so I don't have to drink a lot of it. My doc just wanted me to do the Miralax until things became more regular and what I do now is add Benefiber to my Camelback water bottle. My dietician suggested doubling the dosage so I do 4 teaspoons in one bottle a day and so far I've been back to my regular morning BM for a week solid. The Benefiber is not gritty and has no taste and you don't even know it's there. Try the softeners to get things going again, but I suggest definitely adding more fiber in some fashion. :D

Dulcolax comes in a pill form...not sure how natural it is. But I have taken it when I have traveled and not had room for a bottle of Miralax. Funny, I literally CANNOT taste it in plain water, nor can my husband.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
I also use generic Benefiber 2 tablespoons in my decafe every day.
If that doesn't do the trick... I will choke down some MOM or use a suppository to keep things moving along.
