Very constipated & want to make sure it's ok to do a Fleets enema. No nausea or vomiting, but constipated. Thanks

If you have not done so please give your surgeon's office a call

I don't know of any reason it wouldn't be OK.

Fleets enema should be fine, but great advice to check with surgeon first. Look into the squatty potty. Does wonders for constipation problems.

I was in your shoes last week, but I had more of an impaction issue.  After being in serious pain all day, I went to the emergency room of the hosp I had my procedure at.  They were getting ready for manual intervention, part of which was a Fleet enema, but my situation resolved itself (very painfully!) before they could get to it.  The emergency doc called my surgeon *****commended Miralax to get things back in order.

I say use the enema before you get to impaction.  I am now adding Benefiber to my water and things have been good so far.  Good luck!

I have used it a few times without issue and then I become MUCH better about nightly Miralax!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Yes -according to my doc it is fine to use. I have to take 2 Colace at night and 1 in the morning to keep things from stopping up.

Hope you feel better.
