Fish Oil

I found a liquid fish oil flavored Key Lime,  I was going to put it in plain yogurt.  Is it ok to use fish oil after surgery?

RNY wise I don't know of a problem, but I would talk to my doctor about it. There were some interesting studies about fish oil and cancer. After the surgery it may not be as beneficial to you. 

My program wants us to take fish oil. I can't imagine a liquid would taste good, no matter the added flavor. Is there a reason you can't take pills?

 

I would check with your surgeon especially if it is a capsule. Your pouch may not break the capsule down properly for it to be beneficial for you.
