hair dye question
I'm almost 9 months out and have been touching up my roots and occassionally highlighting my hair every 4 to 6 weeks. I continue to lose hair but I'm the only one who seems to notice. My advice would be:
1- Follow your doctor's orders on protein intake, vitamins, liquids, etc.
2- Use the best most nourishing products (shampoo, conditioner, hair dye, etc.) that you can find and afford. I have course, long and often brittle hair and I like the Pantene Keratine shampoo and conditioner. I also use a heat protection product before straightening and curling.
3- If you can get away with it, try to wash your hair every other day and let it air dry as much as possible. I use a dry shampoo on the off day to freshing things up.
4- Try not to stress about it, it won't help.
Good luck! It will all work out.

My hairdresser says that coloring does not affect hair loss due to surgery and she has 40+ years experience in top salons. It does, however, plump up the hair strands and makes them look thicker. And of course, hair coloring does wonders for most of us, making our hair look rich and shiny.
Go for it!
I have my hair professionally colored every two weeks and highlight every 6 weeks or so. I also do Keratin treatments. My hairdresser advised that the color didn't increase my loss. I can't imaging having hair loss and grey roots lol.
