CT Scan Today

Today I have a CT scan to see why I am still draining from my drain hole incision site. It's been 7 weeks since my surgery. US surgeon thinks it could be a leak that they have to go in and repair. Hoping to get results soon after CT scan so I can get on with my healing and recover. It has been very difficult and discouraging. The positive thru it all is that the bariatric nurses at Kaiser have been fantastic and are welcoming me into the support group. I am also on their list to keep in touch with and have my blood work taken. I just wish the surgeon was just as understanding. The other part is that I have lost 30lbs in 7 weeks - almost half way to goal weight. For I guess what you call a 'lightweight', this isn't so bad. I even had a 3 week stall.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I hope you find out what's going on and can recover quickly. Yay for being almost halfway to goal, that's great!

I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. That's great they are being so welcoming,  hopefully your surgeon will quit being such a tool (unfortunately they are "cutters" first and some of them are sorely lacking in bedside manners). I hope you get some answers soon.

Congrats on your great loss so far! Sending positive thoughts your way.
