Well I am 2 weeks post op today. I have had some set backs with infection and whatnot and am still dealing with that. However I am down 17 pounds and that's super exciting! I do find it hard to get in all of that protein but I did find a drink that has 30 grams of protein in 11 ounces which is the most I've seen yet. So that has gotten me closer to that 60 grams of daily protein. I do find it depressing when I'm cooking dinner for the family though, hopefully one day that will be easier.

Yes cooking for the family does get easier. Once your on solid foods you will find you will cook for them differently. I did a lot of easy things for first 3 weeks. Once I could have pureed I made chili once a week for me, and cooked them easy things like hot dogs, chicken, ramon and grilled cheese. Not the healthiest stuff but easier on me to fix.
