It is made mostly of collagen protein isolate and I heard that we do not absorb that so it's pretty much useless it's be great if we could though huh!!

Yes, it is primarily collagen protein with SOME whey protein added in, but it does not have all the amino acids necessary to absorb the protein.  They also are slimy and taste nasty, LOL.

There is one brand, though, called YES WHEY that is 100% whey protein. As far as I know, it is only available online.  It doesn't have the slimy texture of the collagen protein, and you can absorb all of it.  Be warned, though, it is VERY sweet (all three flavors)!

I use the YES Whey and mix one tube with 2 packets of Crystal Light drink mix and 64oz of water and drink it throughout the day.  This way I get the protein, and make sure I get my water in for the day as well!  I mix a pitcher every morning and fini**** every evening!

I tried it a couple of days ago and I thought it was absolutely dreadful. I tried the watermelon and it was like drinking a sweet tart. two sips and I had to dispose of it. Not sure how anyone can stomach the stuff.

Yeah, it's mostly collagen, which is the same thing gelatin (like Jello) is made from.  It doesn't have all the amino acids, which makes it a very poor source of protein.
