OT: has anyone had thermal ablation done?

Finally figured out the name of the procedure the spine specialist wants to do on me, facet thermal ablation. Facet, being in the facet joint in my lower back, L4-L5. I was wondering if anyone has had thermal ablation done and whether it worked and for how long? Also, what were the side effects and was it painful to have done?

There is a whole list of facet thermal ablation topics on Google and one is a you tube.  Thanks for posting, it looks like a good thing to know about.
