Hello everyone I'm feeling really hungry I'm on my Pre-op 2day liquid diet it's soooo hard I'm so freaking hungry anyhow I want to know if I open a couple of cans of chicken noodle soup can I drain the chicken broth and drink that not the noodle or chicken I'm just talking about drinking the chicken water/broth

I had soup broth while on my liquid fast and it helped me. As long as it is just liquid you should be fine.

Usually broth is allowed on the pre op liquid diet.  What guidelines did you get from your surgeon?

Yes ma'am broth, Popsicle, jello clear liquids, apple, juice, grape juice, nothing with pulps, flavored water, water now campbell chicken noodle soup has that chicken broth in it I strained it and have drank it I hope I'm not messing myself up...

I did, but I'll be honest.  Stock was better tasting than broth (and was OK w/my surgeon).

I did. I had beef bouillon and Unjury chicken broth a lot. It really helps...as the other poster said, so do popcicles, jello, juices....as long as it was clear it was allowed on my plan. Check yours. It may be true for you too!
