Fourth Month Surgiversary

My four month date came and went and I didn't even realize it.  I've been so busy!  I only lost 4 pounds last month, but the scale is starting to move for me again, so I'm not panicking.  I tend to lose a few, stall, lose a few more, etc.  As long as I keep going down, that's all that matters!  Yesterday I was at 255, which is the weight I was on my wedding day 7 years ago.  What a great feeling!  14 more pounds until I get back to the weight I was when my husband and I got together.  I'm a very slow loser and need to start exercising.  No more excuses!!

What a terrific attitude!  Sounds like you're doing beautifully.  You should be very proud.

Thank you!  I've been very fortunate to not have had any complications from the surgery or with foods.  I've never thrown up and I've only experienced what I think is dumping a couple of times.  I think if I get to exercising I should see some more dramatic losses.  With my arthritis, it's always been a struggle, but now my hips don't hurt like they used to, and my only real complaint is my back.  With exercise, I should be able to strengthen my core muscles, which should help with my back, I hope.  Arthritis stinks!!!

I think our surgery must have been around the same time. Mine was Dec 19 2012. I started aquafit at the beginning of April (3 tines a week) and have found it really helpful with toning and weight coming off. You may want to check it out for yourself... It is easier on the joints than some other exercises.

Keep up the good work Stacey. Had my four month appointment this week and have lost 92 lbs so far... I have a lot more to lose so consider myself to be a little slow as well. Start slow but definitely start moving...up to 2.2 miles a day with my dogs but started off a a quarter mile each then have moved up. I love your attitude and have adopted it for the most part by telling people that this is a marathon and not a sprint and I'm just happy to be in the race!

You're doing great, Tom, and thank you for the encouragement!  I just need to get moving.  It doesn't do any good to be negative about it, so I just roll with it.  :-)
