It depends on what you are eating/drinking. Jane's explanation of liquids in/liquids out pretty much explains it, which is why you didn't get any further replies!
If you want more opinions, perhaps consider posting exactly what you are ingesting and then we can all post our $0.02!

It could also be c diff... an overgrowth of a bacteria in the intestines that is usually the result of antibiotic use killing off the good bacteria . It is very common in hospitals and can be debilitating. You may want to call you surgeon to see what they say. If you are not keeping fluids in, dehydration is going to happen....

Is your protein drink lactose free? You may be lactose intolerant. Check the label. It should say 99% lactose free. If you read the ingredient list and find whey concentrate, it contains lactose. If you are lactose intolerant you need to find a lactose free protein powder and mix it with water, soy milk, almond milk, or lactaid milk. I mix mine into my coffee every morning. There are lots of lactose free protein powders out there. Try to find a whey isolate powder. They are lactose free. I use Body Fortress Whey Isolate from Walmart. It tastes OK and it's cheap ($22.00 per tub).
Are you stressed out about something? Sometimes I have gastro-intestinal issues I believe are stress related because I have not eaten anything out of the ordinary (when I eat a lot of sugar, I have issues, but I know I caused those ).
I just went back and read your earlier posts. you are only 4 days out. It may take a few weeks for your bowels to adjust. Not much you can do at this point. Hang in there.
