Can you puree kidney beans?  How about cottage cheese? I am 8 days post op - having swallow test and hoping to move to puree tomorrow and wondering if these are allowed.  Thanks.

"Allowed"? I'd ask your surgeon before your swallow test for clarification on when to move on thru stages. Cottage cheese is pretty mushy to begin with but any beans puree pretty well, just add a little broth if it's too thick.

You can puree both of these - make sure all the skin of the beans is in little bits (really pureed).  They sound kinda gross together but to each his or her own enlightened. I pureed beef vegetable soup too and that get really mushy and tasted ok (for a puree).

Thanks I won't put together just looking for protein options. I was told beef is hard to digest but the soup worked huh? I know I said allowed just looking forward to a spoon food.
