Before surgery I ate Turkey religiously, but since my surgery I can't handle it at all and I've tried Turkey everything. I am grateful that I can tolerate chicken because I've heard a lot of people say that they can't tolerate chicken after surgery. My NUT's suggestion to me is if I can't tolerate it try it again in 7 days.
With ground chicken, as in ground turkey, one has to really watch it as many have dark meat and even skin ground into it. I buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts and grind them in the grinder attachment to my KA mixer and bag it and put it in the freezer. This way, I know exactly what is in the ground stuff I am using.
