I just bought a can of mason natural isolated protein powder. So far it seems to be sitting alright on my tummy. But my memory is not working with me today. I can't remember if it is a good protein source. Thanks so much guys an gals. I also bought some biotin to help with my hair re-growth.

I was told whey is best, but soy or egg proteins are ok if you cant stomach the whey. I personally do a Soy, I cant stomach the whey, heck anything with milk in it makes me very sick.  I dont know the exact number on how much we can absorb of the soy, but its better then other kinds of protein.

Thank you so much. I am wondering about the absorbtion too. I think I'll look thru the old posts and see what I can find about it. I tried mixing it w/some hot coffee. BIG mistake it made a slimy clump at the bottom of the cup. ugh. What's to best way to mix it?

The coffee was too hot. Either add the protein powder to just warm coffee and then slowly heat it in the microwave, or make a paste of a small amount of warm liquids and the protein powder in a cup and then SLOWLY stir in the coffee.

There is no significant difference in the absorbability of soy protein and whey protein. If the soy sits better, go with that. Egg based protein is also fine. It is collagen protein that your should avoid like the plague.
