Sounds like some head hunger going on?  I can't say I haven't lusted after a candy corn (or 15), but the feeling is generally very fleeting.  Is something emotional bothering you today?  Or, could it be slow weight loss?  (I know you and I are kind of in a similar situation.)  That really gets me down some days, so I certainly can sympathize.

I guess the only thing saving me is that it seems like all my time is spent trying to ge****er, vitamins, and a tiny bit of food in, so that I hardly have any time to think of anything else!  The other thing is that I feel so much better having lost 52 lbs. (even though most of that was before surgery), that anything off-plan is not as appealing as it used to be.

Hang in there!  We can do this!

I'm with the previous post regarding candy corn. My favorite, favorite candy...next are Peeps.  Those two, I will miss.
Other than that, I'm a salty food lover.
There are some really yummy sounding recipes on Pinterest.  Cheesecake, cupcakes, and all sorts of sweets that use no sugar and some use no flours, many are high protein.  One crust is made of ground nuts, which I thought sounded kinda good.
Also, I don't know about where you are, but at the surgeon's office that I go to have a huge variety of protein snacks.  I've gotten a few and so far, they've been very tasty.  One is a peanut butter brownie, another is cinnamon raisin, something caramel...you may try to find something like that?

You can eat a brownie type thing?  Do you do protein bars too?  I haven't tried anything like that because I wasn't sure we could handle something like that right now.  But I sure would!!!

Today I didn't miss any food at all.  I'm really enjoying the freedom my RNY has given me.  There are many days when food is just a pleasant distraction and a way to fuel my body...its not the focus of my life anymore. Of course, I do have days with head hunger...but I can usually walk away and not feel obsessed about the food.  Wow, I'm so grateful for my RNY.

I also plan lots of delicious foods into my meal plan...so that may explain when I rarely feel deprived or have head hunger.  Eggface's protein cakes, donuts, ice cream, pancakes, muffins and fruit crumbles are honestly so delicious and completely wls friendly.  Eggface is a genius!

I eat all of those things. Someday you may be able to do the same. I did wait until I was at goal to try sweets again. I wanted to make sure I had my healthy habits ingrained in my mind. If sweets trigger binges, though, you may want to avoid them completely. Other people, like me, can handle an indulgence every now and then. And yes, I dump, but sometimes I want the sweets anyway.

I am on a sugar free kick, and I am looking up recipes for sugar free Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie is m favorite and I will eat it because I don't know if you realize this but the crust has 4 grams of fat and the mix including the fat free evaporated milk is 0 grams of fat. sugar substitute is priceless for everything else there is weight loss. Have a great thanksgiving...
