8 months post-op - down 125 lbs (pics)
I feel fantabulous! Back in 2001, when I was 18, I dieted down to 205 (from about 275 lbs) for my brother's wedding. I have always looked at pics from his wedding and wished I could look like that again. When I had surgery, I weighed 367 lbs, so the thought of being anywhere NEAR that weight seemed unattainble. I'm currently at 242 lbs, and while that is still a good ways off from where I was at for his wedding, I can get the bridesmaid dress I wore on and zipped! It's tight, and I doubt I could sit down in it... but it's on!
It's unbelievable that I'm nearing a weight range where I felt like I didn't stand out in a crowd. My "content" goal is 199 lbs, and it seems so close and exciting that I've found a new resolve to start exercising more. I've also been taking some "risks" with my personal style, wearing dresses and I've even cut my hair really short. Something I've always wanted to do but thought would look bad with my incredibly round face.
I found this before picture from a tradeshow I was exhibiting at. Definitely not a flattering moment in time, but those make the best before pictures, right?
Here's a picture of me from a couple of days ago.
