Got my surgery date today

I received my surgery date today for May the 9th. With instructions to start a protein liquid diet for 14 days starting April the 25th. Monday April 23rd  I go in for a class at the surgeons office then over to the university  for other classes.  Cant wait to start my weight loss journey

 Congratualtions!  My surgery is for May the 7th. I am having the RNY. How many classes total have you had to do so far? I am trying to get an idea of all the different requirements from different doctors.  Some require alot some do not.  Anyway Jason, keep us posted and what type of procedure are you having done?   Take Care, Jane in California

 Der! I am on the RNY forum!  I go back and forth so much it's easy to forget where you are at.  

Thank you. I am having the rny Dr Norbert Richardson from Columbia Missouri will be my  surgeon. I have not had any classes yet. On the 23 of April I will attend a 4 hour  Day Of Surgery Admission Class at my surgeons office.While there they will do more blood work and take chest x rays. After that class I will be sent to the hospital where the surgery is being done at for a Peri-Procedural appointment that is when I will meet with the Anesthesiology Department. Plus my surgeon requires a 14 day liquid protein diet before the surgery. Congratulations to you too Jane in California and good luck .

Congrats!!  I suffered through my 14 day pre-op liquid diet I wont lie it was really hard BUT the outcome has been so worth it!  My surgery went as planned with no complications! You can do this!!!!
