How many scallops can you eat?

I am going out for Easter to a seafood restaurant. In the past I always got fried clams and scallops. So I was thinking about trying baked or broiled scallops. Not sure how many to eat. I can eat 2-3 oz. of any meat without any issues. Should I stick with the same amount or are they not as dense as meat.

Good Question - I cannot wait to hear the answers to this. The other day I ate 12 Medium Shrimp dipped in ****tail sauce with no problems. Hmmmm

I stick to 3 ounces.  What is your doctor/nutritionist recommendation?  Mine only says 3oz meat, not 3 oz certain kinds and more for fish/seafood.

depends on the size of the scallops

Depending on the size, there are about 20 - 30 Sea Scallops in a lb.

i would stick to just a serving size, which my NUT said is 2-3 oz of meat. after that she wanted me to get veggies in instead.

I thought this was going to be a contest...I used to win all those contests. Hot dogs, clams, shrimp etc etc. I would think number of is not important, just look for 3-4 oz. For me being out in a restaurant, I go very slow and stay on the smaller side of safe.

Thank you everyone. I will keep within 2-3 oz. then. I just wasn't sure.

Scallops are very rich. Even at 2 plus years out, I can only eat a few bites.

Then it's this feeling of "Stop. Now."

Shrimp goes down much easier for me.
