BodyMedia FIT users (or wannabe users)

Groupon has what looks like a good deal for a Body Media FIT Armband Advantage Model for $95.  I have really wanted one forever... but the cost is daunting.

If you use one... which model?

This seems to be the lower model, and does not have all the bells and whistles.  What are the MUST HAVE features for you?

Basically, I'm trying to decide whether to buy this one, or spend the extra $100 for the other features... and if they are worth it.

Thoughts?

I hope I can link this here... if not I apologize and can remove the link...

I've been using the LINK version for nearly 2 months.  For me, I'm very glad I went with the bluetooth version because I'm a geek that way.  I love being able to see my progress on my phone anytime I want.. also I love the ability to see how much of the different levels of activity and calorie burn as I'm working out.

A lot of people seem to have problems with the LINK if you have an iPhone.  I have a HTC Incredible and I haven't had any issues.  Occasionally the armband won't link with my phone but  honestly all I have to do to make it work is turn off the bluetooth on my phone and turn it back on (I have a widget to do this) and it links right up.

Evidently with this one you can view on your phone, but not in "real time".  You have to download via USB before it will display.

This is the kind of information I am looking for!

I have an HTC Incredible too and can never get it to link to my armband.  What widget do you use?  I'd really like to try it.

Do you know what version of Android you have on your phone?

The bluetooth widget is just the standard on/off slider widget.. but that's just what I use to quickly turn my bluetooth on or off.

I don't know what version.  Where can I find that?

Settings -> About Phone -> Software Information

I don't know if that makes a difference or not.  Mine is on Android 2.3.4.

Do you have it paired successfully and it just won't link in the app?
