Just whining...

Protein shakes made with water are yuck!   (Ok, some are ok but I don't have any Nectar on hand.)

I just got home from work and realized I have no milk. Unfortunately I'm still 30 grams short on my protein today and the only way I'm gonna get it is a shake. Boo!

Oh no! And I was just checking the bottom of the glass to see if the miralax was settling out.. and accidentally poured some shake on my laptop!

None of this would be happening if I hadn't run out of milk.. sigh.

I wish I could just chug this thing and go to bed.

I'm with you - I hate them made with water - too thin and watery.  I add my ff Smart Balance milk [for an extra 10 grams of protein] and it tastes so much better!

I can't stand them with water either...only milk. And that includes the Nectar.

I always use water in mine. I guess it just depends on your taste buds.

I'm a creamy shake drinker so yeah...milk for me too EXCEPT when I got my hands on some Syntha-6 powder (hella expensive!). That stuff does nicely with water. I also don't mind hot Click with water.

What about with  1 tsp of vanilla added and/or  1 pkg of sweetner, splenda or something..??
Just a thought.

I too personally use the HOOD brand - 2%calorie countdown milk.   Wonderful and tastes just like milk w/o all the added sugars that  skim milk (which I love but now too sweet) has in it.
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.
