Complication? Stomach bug?
I have no had much in my system today, I have slept a lot today trying to get rid of a horrible headache. I had a carnation instant breakfast shake for breakfast, and have had fluids all day, and I also had a cup of no sugar added hot chocolate.- I woke up from a nap and had diaherra. For dinner I had a couple bites of turkey and a couple bites of beans made with splenda. -Not even two bites in and I was running to the bathroom, had another case of diaherra and vomited twice, and once more before posting this..help. I don't know when to be concerned..
Since you are only about a month our or so I would say to call your surgeon. It is most likely (in my non-medical opinion) a bug. But...... I know they do not want you getting dehydrated, so your surgeon may have some other advice for you on what you should do. Were you given any anti nausea meds???
Hope you are feeling better soon.

A lot of times, it's really impossible to say. If it lasts two or three days, it's probably a bug. If you're better tomorrow, it was probably something you ate.
Are you able to get lots of liquids in? If so, and if you don't develop other symptoms, just call your doc in the morning if you still feel bad. But if you can't keep liquids down, you should call the doc on call tonight or go to the ER to get IV fluids. And if you develop a high fever or have severe stomach pain or blood in your stool or anything scary like that, go to the ER.
And if in doubt, you can always call your surgeon. Someone will be on call 24/7 and they get paid plenty to take calls in the middle of the night.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
