What do you use as your starting weight the doctor's scale or home scale?

Well, i'm a newbie here, but I have always kept track of any weight loss/gain on my own scale, but always have used my doctors scale as the "end all and be all".

Just my thoughts.

Good luck!

I'm not sure it really matters. There shouldn't be a big difference anyway. I chose to use my scale at home because that's the scale I weigh myself on more often. Now that I am post-op I've only seen the surgeon 2x (plus an upcoming visit next week) then I won't see him again for 3mths.

Use whichever weight is highest.

Why would it matter? Use whichever one is higher or use whichever one you are going to use to weight yourself most often.

It doesn't really matter. You're probably lost the same amount on each, or something pretty close.

I don't see it as a big deal if I move from 267 to 218 on one scale, and 271 to 219 on the other. It's about 50 pounds either way. I refuse to quibble over such details.

They didn't weigh me at the hospital.  I had weighed myself that morning at home, so that's my "official" starting weight.

I gained 6 pounds in the hospital after 3 days on IV fluids, and finally got back to that starting weight today (one week post-op.)

Yes, TWENTY-TWO! Now you know my reaction!  I am happy to say as of today, 8 days post-op I have lost the TWENTY-TWO....so today is surgery weight day... :)
