Post-surgery Low Blood Sugar
For those of you who've had low blood sugar episodes after surgery, what do you do to keep it from happening? I've read about some of you that have this issue, but I'd like to know what you can do to prevent it from happening. I've had a couple of episodes a couple times a month and so far I've been lucky that it has only happened at home. It seems like it happens before I go to bed while laying in bed reading. A couple times it's been in the low 40s. I freaks me out a bit. I think it happens which I have more carbs than usual during dinner, even with being protein forward.
So anyway, what do you all do to keep this from happening?
Thanks,
Danny

I eat small amounts of protein frequently. I eat about six times a day, more if I stay up extra late. I don't eat carbs by themselves and always eat them with protein. And limit the starchy carbs, always.
