iron as hydrolyzed chelate

I'm 2 years out, at goal, and have had good labs using Bariatric Adv. chewable iron.  I am considering switching to a GNC product called Gentlesorb which is iron as hydrolyzed chelate vs. iron feronyl.  I'm wondering if the "Gentlesorb" in the title will help produce softer stool, if there is a daily recommended dose for bariatric patients, if anyone will share their lab result history using this.  I'm considering it as it is cheaper & more convenient to buy. (yes, the other is a mouse click away...but if you forget to order there is always a GNC store nearby) Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
