UGH!!! Kinda frustrated....
OK, so I am 3 weeks post op today. When I went for my 2 week post op visit all was great and I had lost 20 lbs. now today a week later, I have lost a whopping 21 lbs...WTH?!?! Why only one pound in this last week? I'm still on liquids and can barely get in all the recommended servings. I make sure to hit at least 60g of protein every day! GRRR! It is just frustrating! Any thoughts?
If you are drinking the water and eating/drinking your protein you WILL lose. You body may not give up weight steadily but it will give it up. Stalls at about three weeks are so common - if you check the posts you'll see that it is normal. I promise if you stick to your plan you will lose - NO CHEATING, OK?

I dunno... I don't eat near what I'm supposed to. I'm trying it today... Eating on schedule and tracking what I eat. So for today, here's what I ate
breakfast - 11oz protein shake
lunch - 1/2 cup cottage cheese
dinner - chicken noodle soup
snacks - string cheese & wheat toast w/ pb.
I will probably have a popsicle later and maybe another snack... possibly a protein bar or something. I'm not really sure at the moment.

Very common to have a 'stall' at 3 weeks (and 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months).
You're body is realigning itself.
Very important that you measure your inches. You'll find during these stalls you lose inches and not pounds. (it'll keep you sane).

Before the surgery I kept putting things off. I was never good enough. One of the benefits of WLS is that you start to believe in yourself. Check out my blog:

I'm three weeks out myself. At my two week appointment, I was down 24 pounds since the surgery. A week later, I'm still at 24 pounds down. I am finally under 300 for the first time in my adult life though. I KNOW I'm eating WAY LESS. I KNOW I can't eat certain things now. So I KNOW I'll lose weight. I think my body is just adjusting to this new situation - kind of balancing itself out. I have no doubt I'll continue on the way down... but just know you're not alone!

I hear you and you are not alone!! My three week mark is tomorrow...my first MD followup is Thursday. I am only down 10 pounds in three weeks!! I was very bummed, but I did lose 10 pounds pre-op so that is 20 pounds in a month, nothing to sneeze at!
I have come to terms that I am in this for the long haul and the weight loss will happen. I also gained following surgery with the fluids and am likely still holding onto some of that.
Keep your spirits up....skinny and healthy is just around the corner.
