Stomach growling?
Hey gang, I'm just a little over 3 years out. Not at goal weight, but pretty close. My eating habits are pretty good, and I'm fairly active.
I've noticed though over the past two months, that my stomach has been growling a lot (or making a digesting noise?). Don't think it's a hunger issue. I have noticed it happens more after I eat, or especially if I'm drinking something warm, like coffee or tea. It doesn't hurt, but it is LOUD, loud enough for people in the room to hear, so it's getting a bit embarassing. Anyone else have this problem?

My stomach growls sometimes, quite profusely on occasion, and I haven't found any rhyme or reason. If you chew gum, it might be growling because gum chewing can stimulate acid production in the stomach as the body thinks all that chewing is preparatory to a bunch of swallowing too.

I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
So glad to see I am not the only one! Surgery 10/7/2008. Stable weight for past six months. Not at goal but good for me. Anyway, my stomach (intestines) have been growling so loudly it is absolutely embarrassing. I don't know what to do. I do not chew gum. It doesn't seem to matter whether I am hungry or not. Any suggestions to help quiet it down would be most welcome!
