Recovery from RNY to DS Surgery

While I know everyone is different I was wondering the average post-op recovery time for RNY to DS?

Depends on if it is open or lap.  Also depends on the surgeon.  Who are you having the revision with?  There are only a handful in the US that are truly experienced enough to do this complicated surgery.  I had open RNY to DS revision with Dr. Henry Buchwald in Minneapolis, MN in April of 2011.  I was in the hospital for one week and it was truly around 8 weeks before I wass 100%.  

I had an open revision With Dr. Keshishian. I was in the hospital 5 days and went back to work at 5 weeks....it was too soon. I felt "normal" around 7-8 weeks.
