I AM HOME!

I arrived home yesterday.
My abdominoplasty was 8 August and I had 2 drains (dang-they were in the mons-is it the same in the US?)
I am FLAT-at least from below the rib cage!
There is still a concern for fungus/fungi ( which was really bad before the op) and my T cut intersection incision/scar still has a long time to totally heal so I need to wash twice a day and put Dermacombin cream on, gauze and then continue with abdo binder for another 4-6 weeks. The binder cuts into the mons but a friend suggested that after the shower and creaming and gauze, to wear a thin undershirt and then the binder so I am planning to incorperate that into my dressing routine now that I am home (and out of the hospital where you shower, hospital jammies and nurses).
I need to decide if I should see my GP today or wait until Sundat (Friday and Saturday closed) and arrange paperwork for next Thursday's clinin apptmt at the hopital where my op was performed.
Three kilo was removed.

I wore a mans sleeveless tee shirt under my binder and it did help.  My abdominal drains (2) were in my mons area.  One scar is still a "lump" and still tender at 3 months post op.

Glad you are home.  Take it easy.

Mikimi,

Glad you're home and FLAT!!!!  Anither thing to do for the binder (I had to do this after my bypass) is to fold up a cotton t-shirt and put it under the binder where it is hurting the skin.  Large gauze pads work as well.
