Going in on Friday, trying to get everything in order this week, loose ends at work are almost all tied up, It is going to be a long few days waiting.  What did you pack in your bag for the hospital? what did you need, what did you wish you had?

I was happy to have a bath robe as I had to wander the corridor as they want you up and walking.  Also chapstick and hand cream.

Good luck.

slide in slippers or Berkenstocks or Crocs, hate gritty floors, lol

diaper wipes for hands and face through out the day, just felt kind of icky and that was refreshing.

should have taken a Zorro eye mask 'cause it seems like the lights are on day and night.

good luck, you'll be fine, do what you're told and walk and don't be afraid to ask for pain meds if you need them.

Chap stick for sure and wipes.  I brought a little fan because I found it stiflingly hot at Humber. A pen to record how much you drink (if they ask you to do that). Underwear for a couple days. Cell phone. Toothbrush & paste. Hand Cream. Maybe one magazine.  You won't have much time other than to take care of yourself and walk as much as you can.  Good luck!

Earplugs! People's machines kept going off all nite and the nurse was different for the other patient in the room and would come in at different times of the nite. Good luck with your surgery!

Ear plugs for sure and my own pillow and pillow case. I hate hospital pillows and having had 4 surgeries in the last 4 years this is what I always take. Just remember to take it home with you when you leave. lol  I almost forgot mine and had to go running back for it before they took it off the bed. It also helped putting it on my tummy to hold onto for the car ride home.

Good luck

Your own facecloth! (Preferably a coloured one.) This tip was given to me by someone who works in a hospital; she said, "Trust me, you do not want to know where those cloths have been!" ICK!!!!
