My dog ate four premier chocolate shakes....

if it is chocolate in it and she starts to vomit - rush her over to emerge. No kidding. Chocolate is very toxic for dogs.

Luckily I figure she is safe as the amount of pure chocolate in those shakes is likely low. Combine that with the fact that she is not a small pup (90-95 lbs) by any stretch of the imagination, I don't think she will have ingested a toxic level of chocolate.

 

But yes you are absolutely correct. ... chocolate is can be toxic to dogs

A couple years ago my dog ate 1/2 my chocolate easter bunny and he was fine.  I was a wreck. He was fine. It was the cheap chocolate, so you are probably right. And they freaking love the smell of chocolate!
