How long after meeting the surgeon did you get your surgery date?

The front desk at Ottawa gave me the "hurry up and wait" response when I called them this afternoon.. It was only one call - it's not like I'm calling them every day or anything. There is one girl there that should definitely not be working in customer service (so condescending....)

I just politely said "thank you" and thought hmmm...... don't want them misplacing my file or something like that.

I met the surgeon and signed the consent on April 4. Just trying to make some plans. It would be nice to be able to make plans for work etc.

Mine was within a week from the consent form. I went in end of feb, called to start opti on March 1st, and surgery March 22nd.

This is my timeline.. I seen my surgeon (Dr. Mamazza) on 2/25/2013 and I did not get my call for surgery until 3/20/2013 so about 3 weeks..and my surgery is scheduled for next Monday April 22nd....Hope this helps you... .and I agree with you on that "one girl" at the clinic....I bet you we are speaking of the same one!

that's what I did too just call and ask for her . I called and started opti the next week, three weeks before d- day. Good luck.

Called with surgery date - January 3

Factoring in that the OWMC was closed over Christmas/New Year - just under four weeks.

When I had my surgery, the process was that the first week of the month is when the surgeons sit down and schedule the surgeries for the following month. Not sure if they still follow that or not.

Agreed; it was about 3 weeks after surgeon appt. that I got my call as well
