Dr Nan timeline

Anyone have any idea how long it takes to get an appointment with Dr Nandagopal?? Saw my family Dr yesterday and she was sending a referral. Hoping its not too long.

Don't know who this is. I've never heard the name before. 

Dr Nandagopal(known as Dr Nan) is a plastic surgeon in Scarborough. .

Ahhh.  That's why I didn't know the name. Thought you were talking about a bariatric surgeon.

I was referred last March and got an appointment in May and had surgery in November. OHIP approval took the longest time. Once your referral goes in, I would call and talk to his secretary.... 

What kind of surgeries does this Dr do? What type is covered?

 

I have two friends who were just approved and waiting for surgeries. It's a few months after referral to see him, and then about 4 or 5 months for OHIP approval (mine was 4 months, but another was 5). Then it's based on his availability after that.

OHIP only covers breast reduction, and panniculectomy. After that it is self-paid only.

i hear a lot about LBL and breast implants, do many here do that as well? Expensive?

Thats what I'm looking for , the LBL and breast augmentation. I will be self pay not through OHIP. I'm thinking around 15 thousand for both???

Are you wanting an augmentation without lift?  $15k would not be enough for an LBL and breasts.  My quote for breasts alone which was a lift and implants was over $10k and that was 3 years ago.
