Do they do sleeve in Ottawa?

Hello, I have a friend that would like to be sleeved but I don't know if they do it in Ottawa?? Thanks :)

Yes I think the doctors in Ottawa do the VSG.

However, to have OHIP cover the VSG you have to meet certain medical requirements as RNY is gold standard in Ontario.

Referral- March 2012, Letter April 19, Orientation TWH- June 6, NP - July 3, Sleep Apena test July 16, Internist and SW - July 17, Nutritional class - July 23, Dietician appt. July 30th, Psych-Social appt - Aug 20th. Follow up with doctor sleep apena Aug. 28th Surgeons appt. - Dec. 14th Dr. Jackson. Surgery date - Feb 12 2013 - VSG

I only remember hearing that Dr. Raiche did one, when she felt it was safer than doing the RNY in a particular case. Fight for what you want! Not easy to get sometimes but worth the fight!
