Holy Crap I ate food for the first time since Dec 2nd!

So, we all know about my surgery last monday.. and we definetly all know about my panic moments over the last few posts lol

I just wanted to share that I ate my dinner this evening.. it was ACTUAL food.. no water or shakes!

I have 1/4 cup of egg whites, a couple shreds of light shredded cheddar cheese and 1 tsp of low fat sour cream!

YUM! I am eating slowly and chewing until mush... food its getting cold but i don't care it just tastes awesome! When would I know if it does not sit well with my new pouch? Thinking of calling it Countessa LOL- mum used to call me that when I was in my young twenties lol.

Anyways.. how long till I know if im in trouble lol?

I knew my pouch didn't like eggs about 30 seconds after I swallowed

Sounds wonderful, my centre didn't allow eggs this early on. I would have died for a egg. That was my first real food. Good for you Chanelle.

YAY!  I remember those days of trying foods again after not eating for 4 weeks (3 weeks Optifast and one week post-op fluids).  Each food was heavenly.  Have fun trying stuff.

I remember my first solid food after liquids.  It was scrambled eggs and it was heaven.  Enjoy your meal and happy new year!

With every shake I chug I'll think of the joy of my first bite a month from now... Hopefully it will give me the courage to face the next 16 days and then surgery. 

Hope that your pounce likes eggs and that 2013 brings us only joy and happiness :)
