Update on Intussusception - surgery scheduled
So I had another 24 hour visit to the ER with severe abdominal pain. NO CT this time but they did Xrays and a small bowel flow through that ruled out an obstruction or leak. Followed up with the surgeon last week and we have a plan. I will be having open surgery on December 14 to resection the failing limb of my RNY from the blind stomach to the intestine (this is the site that showed the intussusception on the last CT). At the same time they will do exploratory surgery to free up any adhesions and remove scar tissue and fix anything else that may be causing issues.
This is the plan for today unless I have another incident which may move this plan forward.
Not thrilled to be having surgery (especially open) after already paying for a tummy tuck and so close to the holidays.
I just want this all to be over.

Thanks for the info on the scar revision Monica. The thought of a huge ugly scar compared to the beautiful one I have now is giving me nightmares. This whole open surgery thing is giving me a great deal of anxiety.
